Midsummer Parade
Cork Community Art Link
RECORD by Dylan Tight was a 2 part-project presented at Cork Midsummer Festival 2012 that explored depression and the concept of “mental illness” with courage, imagination, subversive humour and radical honesty.
The first part of the project involved the release of Dylan’s debut album, RECORD, produced by leading producer Jimmy Eadie. The second part was the world premiere of an “alternative opera” based on the songs from the album that premiered during the Festival. The opera was drawn from medical records, autobiography, fiction and 16mm film
A Cork Midsummer Festival and Dylan TIghe production. A co-production with Dublin Theatre Festival. Supported by an Arts Council Project Award
and the Arts Council Artist in the Community Scheme managed by CREATE.
