How We Made It - Escaped Alone by Caryl Churchill
A discussion about the director’s process with Annabelle Comyn
Director of Escaped Alone, Annabelle Comyn will discuss her process with Cork Theatre Collective’s Zoe Ní Riordáin. Annabelle will open her notebooks and bring you into the world of how a play gets from the page to the stage.
One of Ireland’s leading voices in theatre, Annabelle has carved out a fascinating career working with the canon, bringing lightning precision to George Bernard Shaw’s Major Barbara at the Abbey Theatre and with new writing talent, most recently with Eoghan Quinn’s adaptation of The Jesus Trilogy by JM Coetzee at Dublin Theatre Festival 2024. This discussion is for audience members of Escaped Alone, theatre students and people with a curiosity for how theatre is made. Free and open to all.
Saturday 14 June, 4pm - 5pm at the Studio Space, Triskel Arts Centre (TDC). Free event, Booking Required directly through Cork Theatre Collective here.
Presented following the matinee performance of Escaped Alone at the Everyman.
