Marking 25 years since the release of their acclaimed ECM debut, Different Rivers, Trygve Seim Ensemble brings their evocative, transportive sound to Cork for an exclusive Irish performance.

Lush textures, soaring melodies, and deep improvisational currents weave together in a performance that blends structure with spontaneity.

An unmissable experience for jazz lovers and adventurous listeners alike.

Immerse yourself in an evening of mesmerising music from Different Rivers and its follow-up, Sangam, plus some new compositions crafted by Seim in recent years.

Led by renowned Norwegian saxophonist Trygve Seim, the ensemble has captivated audiences since the 1990s with its rich, exploratory sound. Seim, a key figure on the legendary ECM Records label, boasts 24 releases produced by Manfred Eicher. His debut as a bandleader, Different Rivers, won the German Critics’ Award for Best Jazz CD and numerous international accolades.

Supported by Arts Council Norway.
