Twelve Cork girls take control of the airwaves in this bold DIY performance project.

Radios, resistance, and radical hope - Rebel Resistors Radio Club is broadcasting change. One frequency at a time.

As they build analogue radios, rig up antennas, and send their hopeful manifestos into the world, they ask: Where are we going? Who holds power? And how can we share space in uncertain times?

It’s playful, political, and powerfully personal - a celebration of voice, agency, and imagination.

Created by acclaimed international duo Action Hero (Gemma Paintin and James Stenhouse), RRRC is part of a growing global network amplifying young voices. With work spanning 40+ countries, Action Hero crafts transformative spaces that explore togetherness, resistance, and what it means to be human.

Co-commissioned by Mermaid Arts, Staatstheater Mainz, and Norfolk & Norwich Festival. Developed through LIFT’s Concept Touring residency. With support from West of England Combined Authority and Arts Council England.

Realised in collaboration with Cork Child Friendly City, supported by Cork City Council.
