Children dream, design, and re-imagine how they move through their city in this playful and participatory project.

With young voices at the centre, PlaySpaces are co-designed prototype play pods that are welcoming and inspiring, imagined for and by the kids of Cork City.

Developed in response to city-wide consultation by Cork Child Friendly City, this is a vibrant expression of what happens when we listen to children: small, safe, and joyful spaces to play. Children across the Northside, from Múin Afterschool's and St. Vincents National School, have collaborated to create the imaginative designs showcased.

Chris Finnegan’s work explores the power of play, encouraging children to imagine, build, and connect. PlaySpaces opens up a city of possibilities, one child-sized idea at a time.

An initiative of Cork Local Creative Youth Partnership, supported by Cork Education & Training Board, Creative Ireland and Cork City Council Creative Communities.
