New work from one of Ireland's leading theatre companies, directed by Annabelle Comyn

“Don’t look now but there’s someone watching us.”

When Mrs. Jarrett steps off the street and into the yard where Sally, Vi and Lena are sitting drinking tea, her presence brings horrific and unspoken events of the past to the fore.

Escaped Alone
viciously satirises contemporary capitalist culture while it celebrates the (often unheard) voices of aging women.

Intimate and vast, domestic and wild, Caryl Churchill’s vision presents a world hurtling towards its own destruction. In a career spanning over six decades, playwright Churchill continues to reinvent the genre with every new creation.

You don't want to miss the Irish premiere of this electric new production directed by Annabelle Comyn for Hatch Theatre Company.

With an all-star veteran cast of the best in Irish female actors including, Sorcha Cusack (whose credits include playing the title role in Jane Eyre, Casualty, Coronation Street and Father Brown); Anna Healy (Winner of Best Supporting Actress at the Irish Times Theatre Awards 2023 and known for her roles in ITV’s Emmerdale, BBC’s Showtrial and RTÉ’s Fergus’s Wedding); Ruth McCabe (known for starring in The Snapper; My Left Foot; and Silent Witness); and Deirdre Monaghan (known for screen roles in Game of Thrones, Custer’s Last Stand Up
and My Norwegian Holiday).

"'Escaped Alone' is magnificent. It has all the qualities that mark Caryl Churchill as the greatest living playwright - it's funny, it's complicated, and it's sinister." The Huffington Post

Patrick McCabe with accompaniment from David Murphy and Michael Lightborne present Howl On. Part soundtrack, part poetic memoir, a fever dream in which Patrick Kavanagh flirts with psychedelia, communes with John Lennon and ponders notions of town and place.
