Discover the secrets of exoplanet detection with Alan Giltinan of Blackrock Castle Observatory under the Sun at St. Fin Barre's Cathedral

By examining the nature of starlight, scientists are gaining new insights into a universe populated with planets beyond our own solar system. Let’s take a look at how we examine that starlight and what it can tell us!

Join Blackrock Castle Observatory’s lead astronomer, Alan Giltinan, for an exciting talk under Luke Jerram’s incredible sun installation, Helios. What better way to discover the phenomenon of starlight and what it can teach us about the universe we live in!

This event will last for one hour and is suitable for all ages. No previous knowledge of starlight is necessary!
