  • Visual Art

A colourful and hands-on exhibition that invites young families to slow down, explore, and experience art with curiosity and wonder.

Sculptural works evoke the joy of a family nature walk - encouraging discovery, connection, and shared moments of awe.

Thoughtfully co-developed with children and beautifully designed for toddlers and young viewers, this gentle and playful exhibition places families at the centre of the gallery experience.

Created by leading early years artist Jane Hayes, First Impressions reflects her pioneering, child-led approach to visual art. Hayes is a champion for young audiences, creating innovative, award-winning work that reimagines how children and families engage with contemporary art.

Supported by The Arts Council and Cork City Council.
