Get ready for a fun-filled day at Soundburst – a vibrant, youth-led takeover of Fitzgerald’s Park bursting with feel-good summer energy. With young people at the heart, creativity, culture and celebration take centre stage.

Soundburst is a mix of young people from many cultures joining together to showcase creativity that is bursting with joy. Enjoy an energetic mix of live music, DJs, spoken word, and performances from young artists, plus fun workshops where you can try something new.

Whether you’re here to perform, participate or just chill, there’s a space for you. Fitzgerald’s Park will come alive with youthful beats, colourful markets, interactive games, and a dedicated sensory area for those who need a quieter moment. Young people and families can explore, create and connect in a safe, inclusive space designed by youth, for youth. With delicious street food, playful activities and happy vibes, Soundburst is all about togetherness, creativity and celebrating our generation. Come along, bring your friends, and be part of something energetic and full of joy.

A partnership between Cork Midsummer Festival, Cork Migrant Centre and YMCA, in collaboration with Cork City Council. Supported by Regional Creatives Fund, RTÉ Toyshow Appeal with Community Foundation Ireland and Cork LCYP’s Creative Network Fund with Creative Ireland and CETB.
