Get involved - open call for performance with Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín

An invitation to perform for dance enthusiasts aged (15-80+)

Led by Cork-based Choreographer Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín in a commission for Cork Midsummer Festival, Country OK is a new dance performance project inspired by the foot-tapping, hip-twisting, heart-wrenching songs of Country music - a contemporary expression of the spirit of social dances, dance halls and dancing bodies across the city and county.

You are invited to participate in a specially established performance group, where you will collaborate with Siobhán to create original choreography, learn new styles, and dance in the final performances with a professional cast. Join us for an exciting creative opportunity to perform in Cork Midsummer Festival 2024.

Country OK is free to participants. Dance experience of any kind is useful, but not essential - a love of dance and full commitment to the project (workshops & performances) are the most important ingredients!
