Cork Midsummer Festival is committed to protecting the privacy and any data of users of this website, subscribers to our mailing list (via Mailchimp), and customers who book tickets with us (via Ticketsolve). Below, you will find our privacy policy, where we detail how we receive, store, and process such data - and how you can contact us to amend or remove that data at your convenience.

Your privacy, and the security and privacy of your information, is important to us - any personal information that you volunteer to Cork Midsummer Festival will be treated with the highest standards of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective from May 25th, 2018.

Privacy Policy:

1. In order to use this site effectively and receive our email newsletter, you will be asked for information when you register with us. We will require, amongst other things, your name and email address.
2. No information provided will be divulged to any other third party, unless we receive your prior authorisation and/or we are required to do so by law.
3. We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give us by ourselves, or by those under contracted employment with the festival. A dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO) can be contacted at info@corkmidsummer.com.

If you have given us information about yourself and would like copies of that information, you would like us to correct any inaccuracies or update that information, or if you would like that information deleted from our records, then please contact the festival Data Protection Officer at info@corkmidsummer.com. We will use reasonable efforts to supply, correct or delete information about you on our files within 28 days.
5. Legal basis - we receive and process your data on the basis of consent, for the purposes of contacting you with festival news, the purchasing and distribution of tickets, and improving the user experience of our website. Data is gathered exclusively on an opt-in basis, and your consent for such gathering can be removed at any point.
6. We collate information on all our Website traffic that is represented in aggregate format through cookies. On visiting our site, a pop-up window appears regarding consent for the use of these cookies - you can disable cookies through your browser settings, as required. We use third parties such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to collect user information, including through the use of cookies (flash and non-flash). They help us to improve our Website and to deliver many of the functions that make your browser experience more user friendly.
7. In the unlikely event of a data breach, all affected users and the Data Protection Commissioner will be notified within the required time.
