An exhilarating and ferocious performance of pure dance and live music at the Marina Market warehouse.
Created by acclaimed choreographer Emma Martin to a pounding live soundtrack by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band).
Through raucous choreography and rumbling bass that reverberates in your belly, Night Dances revels in fury, rebellion, hope and freedom. Enjoying a promiscuity of style, form and images, it is a celebration of dance culture - from clubs to competitions to ceremonies – and a sweaty love letter to dance in all its forms.
Emma Martin creates multidisciplinary work that has spilled into film, installation, opera and theatre, always with a raw style of dance as its heart. This is the first presentation of her work in Cork.
