This summer Cork Opera House, together with Price Waterhouse Cooper will present the second iteration of The Cork Proms as part of Cork Midsummer Festival.

The Cork Proms will comprise of three shows with five concerts featuring the celebrated Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra and a host of special local, national and international guests. The Cork Proms is a celebration of music, of Summer, and of Cork. Curated by Director Wayne Jordan (The Cork Proms 2019, The Wizard of Oz, ProdiJIG: The Revolution) and renowned conductor, John O Brien and produced by Cork Opera House, The Cork Proms are a celebration of music in Cork, for the people of Cork.

BEETHOVEN will be an evening of rich orchestral brilliance, conducted by John O’ Brien celebrating the work of one of the world’s best-known composers on the 250th anniversary of the year of his birth. The orchestra will perform Beethoven’s 3rd and 5th symphonies on Monday 15 June 2020, 8pm.

THE BEATLES will be a celebration of one of the most popular bands of all time. We will welcome internationally renowned vocalists to perform the iconic songs of The Beatles all featuring our wonderful orchestra on Wednesday & Thursday 17 & 18 June 2020, 8pm.

BROADWAY makes its return after a sell-out show at The Cork Proms 2019. This year expect a whole new repertoire, but with the same high-octane magnificence. Guests vocalists, many of whom have performed on the Opera House stage as part of our summer shows will join the orchestra to perform hits from the masters of Musicals on Saturday & Sunday 20 & 21 June 2020, 8pm.
