Irish Examiner Spiegeltent, Emmet Place
Saturday 21 June, 8pm
Tickets €25

Rock n’ Roll’s true survivors FAUST have been experimenting with noise, electronics and industrial soundscapes since their birth in the German city of Hamburg in 1971. As early experimenters with tape loops, studio trickery and an arsenal of home made instruments, Faust are regarded as the pioneers of everything from Electronica through to Industrial Rock. Their influence on contemporary music is incalculable. Faust have changed the direction of popular music for ever.
To this day the band make great original music (last years “Disconnected” LP being testament to this) and pull off mind-blowing live shows. The two remaining original members, Jean-Herve Peron and Zappi Diermaier have teamed up with ex members of “Nurse with Wound” and “The Bad Seeds” to perform their incredible live show.
Expect angle grinders, cement mixers, naked live painting (maybe) and some of the most visceral live music you’ll ever hear. This will be their first ever show in Cork, it is simply not to be missed!
11pm–late: THE LAST RESORT with DAVID HOYLE.
