A piece of visual theatre from the company that created the Cork
Midsummer Festival hit of 2006, Of All The People In All The World, in
which 6 tonnes of rice were used to bring world statistics to life.
Constance Brown has lived in many different countries in many different
ages, as a ruler and as a servant, a legend and a code word. Her cleansing
has been a religious, psychic or medical imperative; it has been a
domestic chore, a personal ablution, a fragment of a genocide. In just
sixty minutes you will be taken around the world and back in time as a
witness to her story.
This installation performance is set in a specially constructed corridor
and plays to an audience of just twenty people at a time. Expect a
beautiful, charged, episodic show full of
ghosts, where
the walls
aren’t stable
and the floor
appears to
shift beneath
your feet.
With the support
of the Drama &
Theatre Studies
Department of
UCC.
