Hugh O'Neill in collaboration with Catapult Dance Co. presents:
You are here
You are here
A dance and sound performance inside the 4-storey bell tower at St.
Anne’s Church, where visitors have rung the Shandon Bells (to the
delight of local residents) for many years. This original, site-
specific performance is comprised of 9 dancers, 8 bells, 5 rooftops,
3 narrow stairways and a very large clock.
Choreographer Rebecca Walter and composer Hugh O’Neill have created a
music and movement score that is shaped by the unique structural and
acoustic features of this site. This 45 minute performance, for 15
audience members at a time, will
travel from the ground floor of the tower up to its top.
Previous reviews for Catapult Dance Company include:
“slip sliding away with infectious energy.” - Sunday Tribune
“twisting and spinning... limbs alight as they made a mockery of
enclosed space.” - Irish Times
Music by Hugh O’Neill | Choreography by Rebecca Walter | Design by Lian Bell. Featuring: Mike Carbery and Jen Fleenor.
Please note:
Wear sturdy shoes as the audience will climb to the top floor of the tower.
