John Spillane is a singer, musician and songwriter from Cork. He has recorded three solo albums, Will We be Brilliant or What?, The Wells of the World and Hey, Dreamer. He won the Meteor Ireland Music Award 2006 in the Folk / Trad section - the second time he has won this award.
He also has his own radio show on RnaG, was host for Chúrsaí Ceoil on RTE1, and wrote the song and music for the half-time performance at last year’s GAA All-Ireland final.
He returns to the Spiegeltent after a wonderful show last year (the recording of which is now released on DVD) and before he releases a new album with Louis de Paor this autumn.
