Since their first hit single ‘After All’ in 1991 The Franks have gained a world wide following with their energetic live shows, infectious melodies and seemingly irrepressible happiness.
Following a three-year break from recording and gigging the band released a new triple album titled ‘Souvenirs’ in late 2005. The release was followed by a sold out tour of Ireland & the UK and a nomination for ‘Best Irish Album’ in the Meteor Irish Music Awards 2006. ‘Souvenirs’ is widely seen to emphasise the genius of The Frank and Walter’s ability to write about the ordinary and make it something to aspire to. With a world tour and a new album titled ‘Renewed Interest in Happiness’, scheduled for international release in 2006, The Franks are preparing to take their rightful place as one of music’s most creative and enduring acts.
