Everyman Palace Theatre and Boomerang Theatre Company present:
Chatroom
by Enda Walsh. Directed by Donal Gallagher.
Chatroom
A chance on-line encounter with a group of bored Cork teenagers
exposes an innocent 15 year old to a dangerous world of coercion and control.
Walsh’s black comedy unearths the dark underbelly of the internet and provides a brilliantly insightful window into the world of teenage politics.
“…one of the most fully realised Irish productions I have seen in a very long time...” - Irish Theatre Magazine
“Walsh’s script is magnificently performed by Cork’s Boomerang Theatre Company” - Nicholas de Jongh, Evening Standard
“…a chilling and powerful tale of manipulation and bullying… staged
with enormous aplomb by Boomerang… the best possible advertisement
for theatre…” - Lyn Gardner, The Guardian
“Witty and funny… it is the astonishing tension in the performances that really holds us fixed upon the story”. - Jeremy Kingston, The Times
