Welcome to the 9th Cork Midsummer Festival.

THEATRE FORUM - ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Theatre Forum presents its annual conference for the first ever time in Cork, during the Midsummer Festival.

The conference will consist of two days of debates, seminars, workshops and discussions with subjects ranging from site specific performance and the future of touring, to the next generation in Irish theatre. Highlights include Robyn Archer, Artistic Director of Liverpool European City of Culture 2008 and the Melbourne Festival; Silviu Purcarete, internationally renowned theatre and opera director; Ben Harrison, Artistic Director of the innovative theatre company Grid Iron in Scotland and many more.

THEATRE FORUM is the voice of the performing arts in Ireland. Members include all the theatres and arts centres around the country, professional drama, dance and opera production companies, and the main arts festivals.
