SISTER + BOA MORTE

BANDICOOT PROMOTIONS PRESENTS A DOUBLE HEADLINER SHOW WITH SISTER + BOA MORTE
Saturday 25th JUNE. TICKETS E10

So it starts, as tales of seemingly perfectly-formed rock'n' roll bands often do, with lots of perseverance and feeling around in the dark, in search of a sound to call their own. The members of SISTER have been both friends and musical allies for years, forging their identity through various guises. Based in London, SISTER are a female fronted 5 piece rock band that is downbeat yet fuzzed up and consists of ex members of the Sultans of Ping and The Young Offenders as well as certain members who served time in Simple Kid's backing band. SISTER have recently signed to the same management as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Kasabian and are presently in pre production with Flood (producer of PJ Harvey, U2, Depeche Mode and Smashing Pumpkins ) to start recording their debut album.

Based in Cork, BOA MORTE have been building their lo-fi/melancholic sound since 1999. They have played on various bills with the likes of Teenage Fan Club, Calexico, The Pernice Brothers, Howe Gelb, The Webb

Brothers and June of 44 to name but a few. Their first album Soon It Will Come Time To Face The World Outside' was released in the UK and Ireland on Scottish independent label Shoeshine Records to widespread critical acclaim. The band have just finished the recording and mastering of their second album The Dial Waltz' which will be released soon on Shoeshine Records.
