local area in West Cork as well as more contemporary or jazz material. Instrumentally, the band pairs the powerhouse button accordionist, Christy Leahy, alongside the dazzling fiddle playing of Liam Flanagan backed up by the swing piano playing of Ciaran Coughlan and Martin Leahy on drums and guitar.
Voted Best Newcomers of the Year' at The Irish Music Magazine Awards 2000, North Cregg's enviable reputation for exhilarating live performances spreads throughout the world with highly acclaimed appearances at all of the major folk music festivals around the world from Irish Fest, Milwaukee USA and Tønder Festival, Denmark to Celtic Connections in Glasgow and both Sidmouth and Cambridge Folk Festivals in England and many more besides.
The band released their third album, Summer At My Feet' in August 2003 on the Greentrax label (www.greentrax.com) with worldwide distribution.
