Manu & His Latino House

Friday 17th June. TICKETS E10

Manu and His Latino House is a showcase of talented international Musicians who have joined with Manu Ramirez, a Guatemalan composer/performer extraordinaire, to make an exciting, innovative and tasty Latin-Dance fusion with Afro-Caribbean influences. Latino House was formed by Manu six years ago and since then the band has toured Ireland spreading contagious Latin rhythms and melodies and creating a passionate following.

Manu and His Latino House has proved to be one of the most original and innovative Latin bands in Ireland. The band creates a show that reflects the vibrancy of Latin-American music, traditional, modern and original. Romantic, sensual, rhythmic and explosive, Latino House is a fiesta for the body, mind and spirit!

Manu Ramirez was born in Guatemala City, son of a famous pianist and composer, Emilio Ramirez Garcia. He studied music for a brief period at the National Conservatory. He was the original founder and drummer of PLASTICO PESADO or HEAVY PLASTIC. This band evolved later into a more experimental original group called QUETZALUMAN. Manu was later recruited to play drums in PROPHECY a band in the San Francisco bay area in California, where he lived for a number of years and played with different jazz and rock bands, continuing his music/writing escapades. After living in California he found himself moving to Ireland where he started the 'Latin Scene' in the late 80's.
