Dark Week

Welcome to the 9th Cork Midsummer Festival.

Playgroup, Everyman Palace Studio and Cork Midsummer Festival present:

DARK WEEK

A unique event.
A walk into the past.
A love letter to the theatre.

Walk up an old staircase through an unmarked door and back into times gone by. A large cast, haunting music and film projection, live singing and dancing fill the nooks and crannies of this historic theatre and take us on a journey through the performances, characters and backstage dramas of the building’s past. Wander through its corridors and across its stages, follow the action from room to room, have a drink in the bar, and resume your journey once more.

Playgroup return to the Festival with a sensational new theatre event for the first time since their smash hit live soap opera Soap! in 2003.
